Covid-19

SPORT AT RED

Outdoor community sport, like organised social touch rugby, can go ahead at Red, with restrictions.

Touch Pāpāmoa are an all inclusive, non discriminatory module.  We are unbiased towards your personal choice and are very supportive of our touch community, either way.

WITHOUT MY VACCINE PASS

Touch Pāpāmoa have chosen not to follow My Vaccine Pass requirements and with that, the following must be adhered to please:

There can be up to 25 people in a single defined space at any time, based on 1-metre physical distancing.

For example, a game of touch, which would normally play with 14 players each side, can go ahead with only 12 players each side.  They can be a mix of people with and without My Vaccine Pass.

As there can be multiple defined spaces, this means:

  • you can have multiple groups of spectators — they need to be 2 metres from any other group, and
  • multiple games running at once — they must be 2 metres away from other groups.

The capacity limit includes children, but not staff.

SPORT AT ORANGE

Outdoor community sport, like organised social touch rugby, can go ahead at Orange, with restrictions.

There can be up to 50 people in a single defined space at any time, based on 1-metre physical distancing.

DEFINED SPACE

A defined space is a single indoor or outdoor space separated from other spaces. If your venue has multiple defined spaces, you should make sure, as much as possible, that groups do not mix. This will limit the potential for the virus to spread among groups.

What this looks like in practice may vary. For example, it could mean making sure you have separate entrances for shared areas, or stagger start times. It might also mean you make sure that groups use different bathrooms or service counters, and that they do not mingle in entrance ways and foyers.

Wearing a face covering when passing through common areas is also encouraged.

1 METER PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND CAPACITY LIMITS

Capacity limits are based on the maximum number of people who could occupy the space if each person was 1 metre apart. People do not have to keep 1 metre apart at the venue.

In some cases a maximum number is also specified.

The limits include everyone, including children, in a defined space, except workers.

NO SPECTATORS WITHIN OFFICIAL AREAS

  • NO spectators on playing fields, in and around sub-box vicinity or in and around the registration area.

  • If spectating away from our official areas, please ensure you are social distancing 2 meters apart, we encourage wearing a mask and use the contact tracer QR code available at various spots around all fields.

PLAYERS

  • Practise good hygiene at all times and social distancing as required.

  • If unwell, please stay at home.

  • Your Coach / Manager have been given strict guidelines for which they are responsible for the team adhering to, please ensure you fully know what is expected from you and your spectators and that all protocols are strictly followed.

  • Bring your own drink bottle as this will not be available from Touch Pāpāmoa at Red or Orange.

  • Recommend limited use of bathrooms where possible.

  • At the end of the game, you are more than welcome to say thank yous to your opposition, however, please limit unnecessary physical contact.

FIELD LAYOUT

  • All sub-boxes for each team will be on the same side of the field.  These sub-boxes are located on the outsides of the fields to ensure we have definite defined spaces between each field with strict, no access, on the insides of the fields.

  • Please ensure your team only takes up one half of the field unless making the sub.

  • Team Managers, please organise BEFORE tap off, if your game will swap ends and sub-boxes at half time OR remain going the same direction for the entire game, this will help to eliminate any issues with subbing because sub-boxes are on the same side of the field.
